Weimaraner – a crazy day in a puppy’s life

February 23, 2021

Weimaraner – a crazy day in a puupy’s life is about a normal day in my life.

Hello, I am Casper the Grayt. My mom & dad usually just call me Casper. I will give you all the awesome stuff that is going on in my life. Today. Right now.

Early morning & first breakfast

I had a very good night’s sleep in my crate. My mom says I snore. I don’t know what she is talking about. It was just so comfortable because I was all stretched out. The bed is so soft. I have to pee. Oh boy. I have to pee. Right now. My hooman is not awake yet. I must tell her.

By the way, I am a talking dog and my mom understands me. I am making the noise to let her know I need to go out. Right now. Within seconds, there is light in my crate. The cover is lifted and there is my mom. I love my mom!!! She takes me outside. Oh boy, distractions. I see lizards, I hear chirping things in the tree. Got to pee…

Once I am done, we go back inside to get some more rest. I am so comfy but I do wonder when my hooman will feed me. My stomach is growling as it is empty. Hm. I start stretching and making a bit of noise. If I make some more noise, others will make noise as well. Yes, my mom got up. Oh boy, she is coming soon. With my food. Yum Yum Yum.

The cover is lifted again and my door opens. I see my bowl high up. My mom takes me to say good morning to my dad, while she takes my bed out of my crate, and puts the food bowl down. All of a sudden my dad lets me go, and I think I set a new record in moving from my hoomans bedside into my crate. I love to eat.

Second breakfast

After breakfast, my mom & I go to the food room to get ready for breakfast number 2. This is the yummy one. My mom tells me “place” and  I sit there. And then I don’t. I want to see what my mom is doing. My mom tells me the place again, I go there and all of a sudden it is like a game. I like it. This is fun. Sometimes I grab my leash and run. My mom comes running after me. She can’t catch me because I am faster. And smarter. I know if I leave the food room, my mom will come to look for me very quickly.

After a while which seems like an eternity, my dad comes to the kitchen. I love my dad. He gives me special “tweets”. A lot of them. Soon, we are all sitting at the table. I sit down next to dad as I have to be on his side. And when I hear “ok” I get to take the yummy “tweet”. I wow “tweets”!!!!

The Weimaraner boy’s Mid-morning

After the yummy tweets, we go to the TV room & and rest for a bit. Me & my dad, or me & my mom. Today it was with mom. Sweeeeet. My dad is more strict.

We play a game as we walk. It’s called “slow”. We take mini-steps. Normally, I can run from the food room to the TV room super-fast. I jump the last bit and sometimes I even jump over the table. It is so much fun as the sofa flies into the wall because I am so strong and so fast! My dad always comes and pulls it out from the wall because he does not like it close to the walls.

After about 1 minute my mom sat down, and I started pacing. I do this to show her I need to go potty. Sometimes I pretend I have to go potty. Like this morning. My mom listened to me, and we went outside. She even allowed me to bring my toy. Looking for lizards…

I hear my mom telling me to go potty. Not listening to her. So many sounds & smells. I love to lie down on the grass and take it all in. Busted. My mom knows I don’t need to go, so we go back to the TV room. 1 minute goes by. I start pacing again. Maybe she will take me outside again. Hehe.

Nope, not working. She is using her strong voice, and I have to lie down. My dad comes in. Time for Hugs & kisses.

Amazing insights to a crazy day of a Weim boy – Time for exercise

Is that what I think it is?? Yes?? Steps. Door opens. Mom standing there. YES!!  Score. She has a special band around her waist. We are going running. Yes, we are going running. So excited, we are going running. I sit by the front door as mom opens it & I wait until I hear ok. Lizards – here I coooome!!!!

My mom and I go on forever. We run. Then we walk. We run again. And then we walk. A lot. I am much faster. Sometimes I have to wait for Mom. But that is ok. I look for lizards. After many runs, I get to go sniffing for a long time. I love sniffing.

There are little treasures, like the “crunchy pretzels” on the ground, just like the ones my dad eats. I love pretzels. My mom keeps taking them away. Sometimes she puts her hand in my mouth to remove them. I love that as mom smells & tastes good. She says tree branches are not good for me. But Mooom, they are pretzels, just like the ones my dad eats!!!

I also found other smelly things. Love smelly things as they are more interesting. My mom tried to take them all away. I am a super-dog – my mouth is really strong. If I focus, I can keep it closed and not even my dad can open it. My mom gets upset if I find too many treasures, like today. Mom counted a plastic wrapper, a face mask, a duck feather, and a nerf arrow. I call them yummy smelly stuff.

A Weimaraner boy’s Mid-day

After Mom & I get home, we rest. For a whole minute. Start to pace. I hear noises. An intruder must be outside. I will get them. Protect my hoomans. I jump up on the sofa as I get taller when I balance on the edge, looking out of the window. Start pacing again. It worked. My mom takes me outside to go “leezard” hunting. We go from place to place to place, and then we start from the beginning. And again. One more time pleasch Mom!!! My mom helps me to find the leezards.

We go back inside. Mom, do you want to play? I find my toy. I like bouncing it on my mom, it jumps funnily. Sometimes on her foot, sometimes on the leg. At times on her head. She gets mad at me. It is tiresome doing so much. A kiss Mom? Must nap!!!

Early afternoon

Start to pace. Need to pee. Forgot to pee in the backyard. Mom is the best and takes me. I get a hug. Still have not pee’ed. I lay down and enjoy the sun.

Wait!! What!! Who is that?? Mom, don’t worry – I will protect you. Woof! Woof! Big Woof!!!

Oh, Hi Dad!!!

Mid-late afternoon

My dad needs to have his “tweet” when he gets home, and then I think he had to do something without me. I saw him in the room with the closed door. My mom opened it, and he was doing something on a tall table, using a metal thing. Part of it was hanging down, I so wanted to jump and grab it. And then run. My dad would start to play with me as I would be faster. Catch me if you can. My mom held me back & decided to take me outside. I did not even ask for it. Sweeeeet!!!

We went for a long walk. I want to stop at this tree. And that tree, and that one too. 30 minutes later and as 50 trees had received a close inspection, we returned home. Time for a nap.

Mom – where are you going? Can I come? Mom told me No, she had “an appointment”.  She said I would spend time with dad. Tweet-time!!! I have to be a good boy when I am with dad. He is stricter than my Mom. He can count. And he counts a lot. 1, 2, 3 I know. I am waiting for what is coming next. But he only counts 1, 2, 3…

I usually take a nap when I am with my dad. I need to rest a lot so I can play with Mom when she comes home.

A Weimaraner Boy’s Early evening

Where is my Mom? I am getting hungry. I need food. Where is my Mom???

Oh boy, Mom is back!!! Food. Eat. Food. My mom makes the food, and then we play “slow” again, while we are walking to my home. I have to sit and wait before I go into my home. Mom gives me the bowl. It is so yummy!!! I finish very fast, and I help Mom to clean my food dish. Lots of licking until everything is gone and the bowl is shiny.

After I am done, I have to spend time with dad. My dad & I have the best cuddles. I want to sit where dad sits, and I know if I give him cuddles he will let me. So I give him lots of cuddles.

Mom is making the Hooman’s food. I want to be with Mom. Dad tells me to sit & lay down. I just want to go to Mom. I can hear her. She is in the food room. I need to supervise. What if she drops something?? Missed opportunity!! After a very long time, my Mom comes and get me. We play “slow” while we go to the food room. We then switch the game to “place” while my mom & dad fill their food bowls. I was a good boy today and stayed in place for the entire 2 minutes. I like when Mom tells me I am a good boy.

At the table, I have to sit next to dad, and he gives me tweets and tells me ok. They are yellow and red, and my favorites.

Late evening

After Mom & Dad has eaten, Mom and I go to the TV room. Mom has given me a gift. New clothes for my neck. It is really cool, and I think my friends at the dog park will be jealous. I look like a real dog, a fierce big dog. She puts in on me and takes photos. I am smiling. She removes the other thing around my neck. What??? I am free. Big mistake, I will show her what I can do. I jump and run from one couch to the next couch, then back again & back and forth.

My Mom calls it the crazy zombies. I am just so excited. My Mom stops me, lays me down, and pets my head. I love my Mom. I am soooo sleepy…

Dad tells me it is time, for the final call of the evening. I must have napped for a long time. My dad & I walk the entire street. I do my business and I sniff. A lot. When we get home again, I can smell it. It smells so yummy. The orange thing makes the water in my mouth start dripping. My dad gives this to me every night before I go night-night.

After the orange thing, my Mom takes me and we play “slow” and then I go home. I love my home at night. My dad always saves 2 orange thingies, and I get them when I am home. All of a sudden everything turns dark, and I fall asleep happy. My mom & dad are here. I will see them tomorrow & have another amazing day.

Love Casper
